Notifications and Your Fasting History
What push notifications Fasting Pals sends, how to enable them, and how to use the History tab to track your progress over time.
Push notifications
Fasting Pals can send push notifications to your phone to keep you informed during a fast. You will receive notifications when: a friend starts a public fast you can join, someone accepts or sends you a friend request, a fasting buddy sends a message in your group fast chat, someone joins your fast, and when your fast timer reaches key milestones. When you first open the app, a banner will ask if you want to enable notifications. You can also enable or disable them in Settings at any time.
The History tab
Open History from the profile menu (the avatar in the top-right corner). The History tab shows every fast you have ever completed or broken, organized by month. Each fast card shows the title, duration goal, how long you actually fasted, a progress bar, and whether you completed or broke the fast. You can expand any recurring schedule group to see each individual cycle.
Deleting history entries
Tap the trash icon on any history card to remove it from your record. For recurring schedule groups, there is a trash icon on the group header that deletes all phases at once. Individual phases within a recurring group also have their own delete buttons if you only want to remove specific entries.
The Logs tab
The Logs tab (labeled Logs in the History page) shows all your mood and activity entries across all fasts in a timeline view, organized by month and day. You can search your logs by keyword to find specific notes you wrote. This is the place to look if you want to review how you felt across a period of fasting.
Your streak
Your current streak counts how many consecutive days you have completed at least one fast. Streaks are displayed on your profile and in the stats cards on the History page. A streak day counts if you completed a fast that ended on that calendar day — so a 16-hour fast that starts at 8pm and ends at noon the next day counts for the day it ends. Streaks reset to zero if you go a full day without completing a fast.
