Timer Features and Tools
Everything the fast timer shows you, how to log mood and activity, how to adjust your fast, and what the Tools section offers.
The fasting stage card
Below the timer, a card shows you the current metabolic stage of your fast — what is happening in your body right now. Stages include things like Blood Sugar Stabilizing, Mild Fat Burning, Ketosis, and Autophagy. Each stage has a description explaining the biology in plain language. As you fast longer, the card updates automatically. You can also tap the emoji icons around the timer ring to read about any stage.
Logging mood and activity
Tap the notebook icon in the top-left of the timer card to open the log. You can record your current mood (from Exhausted to Motivated) and any physical activity you did during the fast (walking, running, workout, yoga, cycling, swimming). Logs are stored in your History and are searchable from the Logs tab. This is useful for spotting patterns — for example, noticing that your energy is consistently higher on day two of a fast than day one.
Adjusting your fast
If you started a fast at the wrong time or want to change the duration, tap the gear icon in the top-right of the timer card (only visible if you are the creator of the fast). You can shift the start time and change the target duration using a slider. The end time updates automatically. You cannot adjust recurring fasts this way — their timing is controlled by the schedule.
Breathwork
A breathwork session card appears on your home screen during an active fast. Breathing exercises are one of the most evidence-backed strategies for managing hunger during a fast — slow diaphragmatic breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which reduces the stress response that often drives cravings. Tap Open to start a guided breathwork session. Group breathwork sessions are also available so you can breathe together with your fasting buddies.
Tools — weight tracker
The Tools section (accessible from the profile menu or the wrench icon on the timer) includes a weight tracker where you can log your weight over time and view a chart of your progress. Weight logging is completely separate from your fasts — you can log weight whether or not you have an active fast.
Timer presets
In Settings you can create timer presets that change the visual style of the countdown — including the ring color, ring thickness, icon size, and which stage emojis are shown. You can create multiple presets and switch between them to customize how your timer looks.
